Hello, hello! Long time, no see….
The past few months have included soooo many life changes, LOTS of travel, and exciting new additions to my world (new car, new boyfriend 😜, etc). I can get into allll of that fun stuff in a separate ‘life update’ blog post – would you guys be interested in that??
All of that to say… I’ve been incredibly MIA here on the blog.
But now I’m back in action & ready to bring you guys allllllll the content. Starting off with a little recap of my stay at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa because (although it was a shorter trip) it was one of my favorite trips this summer! So, let’s get into it…
My Favorite Things About Hilton Sandestin Resort
I want to extend a HUGE thank you to Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa for inviting me to a weekend getaway on their gorgeous property. It was the most fun and relaxing weekend I’ve had in a while! I wanted to share with y’all a little bit about why I enjoyed my stay there so much….
- The pool area is AMAZING.
When you go on beach trips with people, you tend to notice there are “beach” people and there are “pool” people. I fall into the latter category. And thank goodness Hilton Sandestin brings its A-game when it comes to their pool area!
There are two outdoor pools (and one indoor one), a kiddie pool, and two whirlpools. They also have these cute little cabanas you can rent. We were lucky enough to have one of the cabanas to ourself for a poolside party complete with cocktails and cookies!
Right in the middle of the pool area is Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill. I definitely got a cocktail or four from here, haha! It’s got a great casual vibe with yummy food and drink options right next to the pool & beach.
And, perhaps my favorite part, there is a beachfront sunbathing deck. It’s basically rows of beach chairs facing out to the ocean, so you get a beautiful view of the Gulf without having to leave the convenience of the pool area!
2. The resort is super family friendly.
One of the first things I thought during my stay at Hilton Sandestin was “Wow, this is a great place for a family vacation!” I definitely don’t have kiddos at the moment, but the amenities and vibe of the resort lend itself to a place you would want to bring the family every year. In fact, I actually got a handful of Instagram DMs from followers who told me they had been visiting this resort with family since they were little!
The suites feature the cutest bunk beds… and honestly I feel like even adults still get excited about bunk beds, haha. There’s also a kiddie pool, child care services, kid friendly menus, etc. You can read more about that here if you’re interested!
3. There is a luxurious on-site spa.
One thing I have not experienced nearly enough in my life are spa days! So when Hilton offered us a relaxing day at their Serenity by the Sea Spa, I was SO excited. We were treated to their Aromasea Massage and I cannot recommend it enough. I would have spent my whole day at the spa if I could have! They offer different kinds of massages, as well as facials, manicures, etc. See the full range of services here.
4. So many delicious dining options!
One of my favorite things about traveling is experiencing alllll the restaurants that the city has to offer… and just my luck, Hilton Sandestin houses some of the best in town!
I already mentioned how much I loved their Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill above, but they have so many other dining options as well. There’s also Sandcastles Restaurant & Lounge which has a phenomenal breakfast buffet, as well as some great dinner options (we had our kickoff dinner here, soooo good!). For my sushi lovers, there is Hadashi Sushi Bar which features authentic Japanese sushi, drinks, and often live piano music. And my personal FAVORITE was Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood. Guys…. I would do just about anything to be eating there right now. The food was AMAZE and the service was absolutely fantastic. This was fine dining at its best. (I highly recommend getting filet topped with crab…. and some truffle fries.)
I definitely suggest trying out one (if not all) of Hilton Sandestin’s dining options because they’re all delicious, but the best part is that it’s right in the comfort of your hotel.
5. There is a Starbucks.
Yes, this is getting it’s own point on my list. If you know me, this should not surprise you, ha! They had a coffee shop with all your classic Starbucks faves, and I was LIVING for it. I got my grande iced mocha with toffee nut syrup every single day I was there – and for that, I am so thankful.

Other Fun Things in Sandestin FL
The awesome Hilton Sandestin team made sure our itineraries included some off-site activities as well so we got to see all that Sandestin has to offer!
The Shard Shop
I had actually heard about Shard Shop classes already thanks to my mom, but had never gotten to experience one myself until this trip! Basically you get to take all these broken shards of glass (different colors, textures, sizes) and turn it into beautiful art. It was one of the neatest experiences, especially for someone like myself who loves to create! It’s located at the Grand Boulevard, just a short drive from the resort.
Vintij
After you create some beautiful shard art, you can walk over to Vintij for lunch! Also located in the Grand Boulevard, Vintij is the cuuutest restaurant with some delicious food. They even have an avocado board, aka the best thing I’ve ever heard of. For my entree, I had shrimp and grits (classic Louisiana girl move) and it was so good!
